Chapter tour · The full feature index

Five modules. One workspace. Built for the way independents actually work.

Fromlu replaces the patchwork of spreadsheets, sticky notes, and five separate SaaS tools that most freelancers stitch together to run a business. The pages that follow walk through every module — Projects, Invoicing, Cash Flow, Taxes, and Time — plus the patented Forecast Engine that predicts what your quarter owes in tax.

No carousel. No toggle tour. Just a straight read through what the product does, in the order you would use it.

No credit card required · 60-day money-back guarantee on every paid plan · SOC 2 Type II certified since Q2 2023.

Operator brief

Most freelancers don't have a business problem. They have an operations problem.

The pattern is the same in nearly every conversation we have with a new sign-up. Client work lives in one place. Invoices live in another. Tax prep happens in a spreadsheet a week before April 15. Time tracking lives on a paper notepad or in a half-used app the freelancer installed in 2022 and forgot about. Cash flow is a vibe, not a number.

Fromlu absorbs that entire stack. In one workspace, you track every project, send every invoice, forecast every tax payment, and see — at a glance — whether you're actually making money this quarter. The five modules below are the modules that replace the patchwork. The Forecast Engine in Chapter 3 is the one most users say they would not give back.

— Maya Okafor and Daniel Reyes, co-founders, Fromlu

Chapter 01

Projects — every client engagement tracked in one workspace.

Stop context-switching across Notion, Trello, email threads, and Slack DMs. Fromlu's Projects module is where briefs, deliverables, scope changes, and status live together — and where every artifact rolls up into the invoice it will eventually become.

  1. 1.01

One board per client, one workspace for the quarter.

Spin up a project per engagement in under a minute. Each board carries the brief, the deliverables checklist, the change log, and the linked invoice — so the conversation, the work, and the money sit on the same surface.

  2. 1.02

Deliverables with owners, due dates, and approval states.

Every deliverable carries an owner, a due date, and a state — draft, in review, approved, shipped. Clients get a read-only portal link so you stop forwarding PDFs and losing feedback in email threads.

  3. 1.03

Scope-change log, written down before you forget.

When a client asks for "one more thing," log it inline. Fromlu time-stamps the request, the hours added, and the revised total — so when the invoice lands, the scope story is already documented and defendable.

  4. 1.04

Linked to invoicing, the moment a milestone closes.

Close a deliverable and Fromlu offers to draft the invoice from it. Line items, totals, and the client reference populate automatically. The transition from "work shipped" to "invoice sent" is one keystroke, not twenty minutes of copying.

Chapter 02

Invoicing — send every invoice, get paid in days, not months.

Native multi-currency invoicing through Wise, Stripe, and Mercury — built for freelancers who invoice clients across borders and currencies. Average payment arrives in 11.4 days, against a 28.6-day Net-30 industry baseline.

2.01 · Multi-currency

Bill in 32 currencies. Get paid in yours.

Open an invoice in USD, EUR, GBP, AUD, JPY, or twenty-seven other currencies. Fromlu handles the FX display, the line-item rounding, and the settled payout into your Wise, Stripe, or Mercury account — so you never lose money to a missed conversion step.

2.02 · Payment links

Stripe and ACH on every invoice, without a separate subscription.

Every invoice you send carries a Stripe card-payment link and an ACH / SEPA rail through Wise. Clients pay how they already pay. You do not need a separate billing tool to collect.

2.03 · Reminders

Polite, escalating reminders that fire on schedule.

Set a reminder cadence once — say, three days before due, the day after, and seven days late — and Fromlu runs it on every invoice. Tone, sender, and copy are editable. The chase is automated. The relationship is still yours.

2.04 · Reconciliation

Payments reconcile against invoices the moment they land.

Stripe, Wise, and Mercury webhooks feed Fromlu in real time. When the funds arrive, the invoice flips to Paid, the cash-flow chart updates, and the Forecast Engine reruns against the new balance — no manual entry, no end-of-month catch-up.

By the numbers · First 30 days

What switching to Fromlu actually does.

6.2 → 0.78

hours / week on admin

Average user cuts admin time from 6.2 hours/week to 47 minutes/week within the first 30 days, measured against self-reported pre-trial baseline.

11.4

days, average invoice paid

Versus a 28.6-day Net-30 industry baseline — a 17-day acceleration on cash you can reinvest, save, or pay estimated tax against.

94%

forecast accuracy

Cash Flow Forecast Engine tax-obligation predictions, validated against 3.4M historical invoices across 92 countries.

Figures verified against Fromlu's 2024 Independent Tools Report submission, audited Q1 2024. Sample size: 12,400 active users over 90 days.

Chapter 03

Cash Flow Forecast Engine — predict tax obligations before they ambush your quarter.

This is the module most users open first thing on a Monday morning. The Forecast Engine models your next 90 days of income, expense, and estimated tax against 3.4M historical invoices, then tells you — to the dollar — what your quarter will owe and when.

3.02

What you owe, when you owe it.

A separate quarterly view shows estimated federal, state, and self-employment tax obligations against your actual ledger. Each payment date has a target set-aside amount, with a one-click transfer into your tax-earmark account.

3.03

Scenario planning, not just reporting.

Model "what if I take on this client at this rate" or "what if I go three weeks without invoicing." The forecast reruns against the scenario so you can decide on a contract before you sign it.

3.04

A short brief your accountant will read.

Export a one-page quarterly brief — projected income, estimated tax, set-aside target, and the line items behind them. Hand it to your CPA in March. The ten-email back-and-forth ends.

The forecast is built into every plan. The 14-day trial includes it.
